ATV and ATV HIPPS will co-host an exhibit at ADIPEC in November and the 1st Saudi ISA EXPO in December, 2017 on ATV valves and High Integrity Pressure Protection Systems.

Florence, Italy - October 17th, 2017 - Early October, 2017, ATV HIPPS hosted an interactive knowledge share with Middle East clients in Abu Dhabi and Bahrain. EPCs and EUs participated to share their experiences with the design and integration of High Integrity Pressure Protection Systems (HIPPS) and discuss the potential for new projects. The meetings featured two HIPPS experts: Simone Zuccherini, Managing Director at ATV HIPPS and Patrick Flanders, Vice President Business Development at ATV HIPPS. Cristiano Corelli, ATV ME Area Sales Manager was also present. 

“Designing a HIPPS involves more than knowledge of sensors, safety logic solvers and final elements. It is essential that the desired application is well understood, including process parameters, interaction with other independent safety layers and how the HIPPS will be operated and tested once the system is placed in service,” emphasizes Flanders.  “As a result, engineering designers cannot work in a vacuum. Input is essential from the end-user and an experienced HIPPS integrator to ensure proper design, installation, testing and maintenance is carried out over the installed life of the system.”

In the meetings, which were held at various Middle East locations including Abu Dhabi and Bahrain, Zuccherini stated, “ATV HIPPS can offer our customers an integrated solution that meets their risk reduction and operations requirements.” He announced that ATV, as part of a major expansion upgrade of its factory workshop , will soon open an integration facility at the manufacturing facility in Colico, Italy that will provide support for ATV HIPPS. 

The ATV and ATV HIPPS Exhibitions at the upcoming ADIPEC and Saudi ISA Expo will showcase ATV proven expertise in engineered valve solutions for the most demanding services within the oil and gas sector including HIPPS.

Patrick Flanders
Patrick Flanders, Vice President of Business Development at ATV HIPPS is a recognized expert in automated safety systems including High Integrity Pressure Protection Systems with more than 35 years of “end user” experience within the oil and gas sector that included Shell, Amoco and Saudi Aramco. During his tenure with Saudi Aramco, Flanders served as the HIPPS Committee Chairman and on the Saudi Aramco Board of Engineers.
